About

"The Birth of the Virgin Mary" wooden church from Rona de Jos is said to have been built between 1634 and 1644, a fact confirmed by the old church bell, dated 1637 and which was moved to the new church in the village. The edifice is also called the "church with eyes", due to the porch in which eye-shaped openings were cut.
